5% ABV, Bottle
Appearance: Gold with a medium white head that lingers.
Aroma: Not a lot present, but I do sense some wheat, orange and lemon.
Taste: The lemon is the most dominant flavor, but it’s a bit muted. Can taste some breadiness and malt as well.
Mouthfeel: Some moderate hops, but otherwise pretty easy drinking. Medium bodied.
Golden Rule is a crisp, citrusy pale ale with a moderate hoppy finish. It’s sure to fit in well at backyard barbecues, as it’s an easy sipping, muted pale ale without too many hops. The pale ale starts off with a malty flavor, giving way to the star of the beer — lemon and zest — and then the brew finishes with a bit of bitterness. Definitely a pretty dry brew, but does hold some moderate carbonation.
