10.5% ABV, Bottle
Appearance: Pours completely black, with a small, dark tan head.
Aroma: A bit of a bourbon smell, with a minor hint of fruit.
Taste: Lots of booze, additionally raisin, vanilla, chocolate and fruit.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with some light carbonation.
Bell’s Expedition Stout is a doozie — plenty of bourbon, raisin, vanilla, chocolate and even some fruit with each taste. Bell’s doesn’t mess around here. You can definitely smell and taste the 10.5% ABV that this brew holds. Despite this, Expedition Stout is pretty smooth and drinkable for a sipper beer. Needless to say, I’m impressed with the depth of flavors and how everything comes together. One of the better stouts I’ve had in a while.
