For a stout with a relatively low ABV, Black River Oatmeal Stout certainly packs the flavor. With chocolate, vanilla and caramel flavors, Black River has some of the standard tastes associated with an oatmeal stout. But it’s surprisingly well-balanced, and you can taste each layer of flavor with each sip. A slightly burnt roast flavor comes through at the end, bringing a punch to the end of this great brew.
