Greenbush Distorter — the brewery’s version of a porter mixed with a stout — is a surprisingly lighter version of the dark brews I’ve come to love. Smoke and a coffee bitterness are the dominant flavors, but there’s also some chocolate, caramel and vanilla present. Overall this is a very smooth, enjoyable brew, and gives new life to the style.
