5.3% ABV, Bottle
Appearance: Light orange with plenty of flowing carbonation. It pours with a very thin head that leaves a slight lacing.
Aroma: Lager yeast apparent with a bread-like smell that has a good amount of sweetness. There is a very slight hint of nuttiness.
Taste: Crisp flavor, mostly true to the aroma. This brew is both sweet and roast at the same time, but mostly captures a traditional German-style pilsner flavor. Mostly grainy with a slight hoppy kick.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied for the usual lager easy-drinking. The carbonation definitely kicks in throughout each drink, but it’s not as carbonated as it looks. Definitely crisp to the tongue.
Detroit Brewing Co. Bohemian is the perfect midsummer brew — one you can pop open and enjoy a few but not completely give up having flavor. The fruitiness — perhaps the Bohemian spin — doesn’t fit your typical pilsner, but I think it works in this case. This is a nice easy drinking beer I will keep in mind.
