The Hideout’s Leap Day Brown Porter is a different take on a coffee-style porter, featuring a decent malt profile and some roasted qualities that are typically found in brown ales. Don’t think of this like a coffee-crazy beer, though — Leap Day is a peculiar beer in that its flavors don’t dominate the palate. The taste starts out with some coffee, but then lends itself to more of a general roasted feeling with some bitterness.
