Appearance: Clear brown with a medium head.
Aroma: Dried fruit, grain.
Taste: Caramel with some sweet malts, bread and grain. A little bit of nut as well.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied; a bit watery for a brown ale.
Keweenaw’s Lift Bridge Brown Ale is a lighter ale with hints of caramel, malted sweetness, bread, grain and nut. While some of the brown ales I’ve had are rather heavy, or at least medium bodied, Lift Bridge Brown is a light, refreshing ale that’s a bit watery for the style. But it’s very drinkable, as its smooth and contains virtually no bitterness.
