All Day IPA is Founders’ response to the growing demand for flavorful yet lower-alcohol “session IPAs.” A formidable hop aroma, reminiscent of tropical fruit and crisp pine is evident upon pouring, and this turns out to also be a good description of the intense but smooth hop bitterness that accompanies this rather light-bodied brew. There’s just enough of a malt backbone to hang all this hoppiness on, and the finish is clean and refreshing, daring you to reach for the next one. Not my overall favorite of the style, but definitely a worthy entry and one to enjoy on the porch, the deck, the boat, the dock, the beach or wherever your Michigan summer takes you.
