5.25% ABV, Bottle

Appearance: Dark amber with a small head.
Aroma: Caramel with some malts. Perhaps some chocolate senses as well.
Taste: Matches the aroma for the most part; caramel sweetness and some bread-like flavors.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with some decent carbonation.

Cheboygan’s Lighthouse Amber is a very drinkable Altbier with caramel and malt tones. The brew is very balanced, with some sweetness and bread-like flavors to go along with the dominant caramel. This is a very smooth beer, which could be due to the lack of hops. Despite that though, this is one of the better ambers I’ve had in a while.
