Mt. Pleasant Coal Stoker’s Blackberry Ale

on January 2 | in Beer of the Day | by | with No Comments

5.8% ABV, Bottle

Appearance: Mostly brown, with minimal to no head.
Aroma: Spices and tart fruit.
Taste: The blackberry notes are subtle, but you can definitely tell it’s there. Otherwise this is a rather watery brew, with some minor spices to blend with the blackberry.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied.

Coal Stoker’s Blackberry Ale takes a back seat to many other fruit beers — as in it’s not overly sweet or fruity. It has a tart, almost sour-like feel to it, with a few spices to make the brew a little more well-rounded. Overall this is a pretty easy drinking brew.
