Liberty Street Red Glare Amber Ale

5.2% ABV, Bottle
Appearance: A hazy deep reddish amber with a full off-white head.
Aroma: Mild smell of grainy, toasty and sweet malt. Faintly earthy and fruity hop notes.
Taste: Follows the nose, with grainy, toasty and caramel maltiness dominating, with a mild grassy and fruity hoppiness mid-palate and a slightly sweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, slightly creamy, well carbonated.
One of Liberty Street’s two (for now) bottled offerings, Red Glare Amber Ale is an easy-drinking, unchallenging beer, and I mean that in a good way. Hopheads will likely not prefer it, as its taste is dominated by a variety of grainy, toasted and sweet malt flavors, with just enough hoppiness to offer some balance before the slightly caramel finish. And at a reasonable 5.2% ABV, more than one at a time may be indicated.
