Harmony Brewing Grand Pumpkin
By Bryan Esler on November 19, 2012 :: posted in Reviews, Beer of the Day
7.4% ABV, Draft
Appearance: Cloudy bronze with medium head.
Aroma: Pumpkin and lots of spice (mostly nutmeg) in the nose.
Taste: Not as pumpkiny as expected; a bit of a bitter finish. Pretty spicy.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.
Harmony’s version of the Grand Pumpkin — labeled as a pumpkin chai brew — contains spices you’d typically find in your favorite morning pumpkin coffee drink. While the flavor isn’t dominant, this is a pretty well-balanaced brew. The bitterness towards the end is a surprise, but this brew is still pretty drinkable, and a good take on the collaboration brew for BeerCity USA.
